Engineering at Renishaw
Renishaw is one of the world's leading engineering and scientific technology companies. We're internationally recognised experts in the science of measurement and metal 3D printing.
We need the best engineers
As a young engineer at Renishaw, you'd be working for one of the world's leading engineering and scientific technology companies – you would be helping to make a real difference to the world we live in. We're visionaries, we're innovators and we need the best engineers.
We're internationally recognised as an expert in ‘metrology' - the science of measurement. We design and manufacture products that enable our customers to make super accurate dimensional measurements in a vast range of different hi-tech industries.
For example, in jet engine and wind turbine manufacturing, in dentistry and brain surgery, Renishaw's highly innovative products are solving some of the toughest and most demanding of engineering and scientific problems.
Our comprehensive range of high-precision probing, calibration and measurement systems have a world-wide reputation for accuracy and reliability. They help manufacturers enhance product quality, improve productivity and reduce wastage.
Many of our customers are themselves global leaders, with respected brand names that you'll instantly recognise, like Boeing, JCB and Lamborghini. They turn to the engineers at Renishaw to provide the best measurement-based solutions.
And what's more, we're also regarded as a world leader in what is known as ‘additive manufacturing' or metal 3D printing. And we're the only company in the UK that designs and manufactures machines which print metal parts from metal powder.
Formed in 1973 by Sir David McMurtry and John Deer, Renishaw today employs more than 4,000 people at more than 70 offices in 35 countries. The majority of our research and development and manufacturing is carried out in the UK.
We employ nearly 3,000 people in the UK, primarily working at our sites in Gloucestershire and our facility in Miskin, near Cardiff in South Wales. Every year we invest around 15% of our annual sales revenue into research and development and engineering.
We need the best engineers to work with us. And one day they might be you.
