RUP1 safety
CAUTION: Before unpacking and installing the REVO-2 system and accompanying probes, the user should carefully read the safety instructions below and ensure that they are followed at all times by all operators.
The RUP1 is only to be used with the Renishaw REVO-2 head.
Operators must be trained in the use and application of the REVO-2 system and accompanying products, in the context of the machine it is fitted to, before being allowed to operate that machine.
Permanent magnets are used in some components of the REVO-2 system and associated products. It is important to keep them away from items which may be affected by magnetic fields, e.g. data storage systems, pacemakers and watches etc.
Hydrophilic polymer elastomer ball
Hydrophilic polymer elastomer ball contains amongst other ingredients:
- 60-80% Ethanediol;ethylene glycol
- 1-3% 2-Propenonic acid, homopolymer, sodium salt
Hazards
- Harmful if swallowed
- May cause drowsiness or dizziness
- May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure
Control measures
- Do not ingest
- When handling, use disposal nitrile glove and that comply with EN374-2, EN374-3, EN388 standards
- Avoid contact with strong acids, strong bases, strong oxidizing agents, and strong reducing agents
- If in contact with the skin, wash immediately
- Handle in well-ventilated area
- Avoid contact during pregnancy and while nursing
Storage and disposal
- Store in a tightly closed container
- Avoid discharge to lakes, streams, sewers, etc.
- Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulations
Emergency procedure
IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER / doctor if you feel unwell.
