Chemometric Raman imaging with the Empty Modelling™ method

Stepping from data to chemistry

Empty modelling is Renishaw's patented chemometric method for extracting chemical information from Raman data. It is an ideal tool if you do not know which chemicals or species are present.

Empty modelling makes chemometric analysis easy; it determines the spectra of the key components and generates high quality images of their distributions.

It is ideal for finding unknowns and identifying them. It can tell you what is present, where it is, and how big it is.

Easy interpretation

Renishaw developed Empty modelling specifically for the analysis of Raman data. The resulting images and spectra are easier to interpret than those from the more abstract principle component analysis (PCA).

Many aspects of Renishaw's innovative technology are covered by patents.
