Product bulletin: PBC-1218 - ACC2-2 dual communication autochange controller product obsolescence (pdf)
It is Renishaw’s policy to endeavour to support an obsolescent product through RBE and repair for a period of 5 years. After that time continued support is dependant on the availability of parts. The ACC2-2 dual communication autochange controller was made obsolete in March 2002 and we have supported it through a repair and RBE service for the past 6 years. We now have very few replacement sub-assemblies and units remaining, so soon we will no longer be able to offer an exact replacement. The ACC2-2 dual communication autochange controller supports both the RS232 and IEEE communication standards. In 2002 the dual unit was replaced by an RS232 (only) version. The IEEE communication standard has not been used for new CMM controller products for the last 10 years.
