Custom switchesThe interpolator card can be configured for readheads with a similar output to the standard 1Vpp and 2.1Vpp types. However, if the configuration is non-standard, Renishaw cannot guarantee full operation in all environments. Current Mode supportCurrent output readhead signals are supported by selecting Current Mode. Note: Current output readheads will be primarily supported by an external dongle. Termination supportA 120R termination resistor is connected when Termination is selected. Some readheads cannot drive the termination resistor and the signal is corrupted. This setting is not valid for current output signals. Readhead supportIf the readhead is single ended, select Single ended. This allows the sine/cosine signal to be compared to the readhead voltage reference. ADC Ref Level supportA 1Vpp readhead will have the interpolator ADC Ref Level set to 0.5V. Setting the ADC Ref Level to 1V will double the input range of the signal therefore a 2Vpp signal could be accomodated. Send configurationOnce you have made any changes to any of these settings you need to click on ‘Send configuration’ to save the configuration on the Interpolator card and in the .ini file. The configuration will stay with the Interpolator card even after power off. Click here to return to Interpolator installation guide index page |
